Matt LeVeque
Matt LeVeque is a percussionist, composer, and improviser based in Los Angeles. His work is rooted in acoustic concert music, but frequently also includes electronic music, video, written text, installation, and intermedia performance. He explores questions of intimacy, queerness, and nostalgia in his work.
In this chat, Matt talks about his filming process, the poem by his partner Justin Dela Cruz that inspired his MEP film, and why Matt was drawn to reflect on the highways of Los Angeles.
